Maghalie Rochette (Canyon Collective) cemented her lead within the US Cyclocross Sequence with the C2 victory at Appeal Town Pass on Sunday. It used to be a sweep of the primary six races within the USCX for the Canadian, with two races last at Actually Rad Competition of Cyclocross on the finish of October.
It used to be a repeat from the C1 race on Saturday at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, Maryland, as Rochette and Sidney McGill (Cervélo/OrangeLiving) rode tandem at the early laps. Rochette powered around the hard-packed route underneath sizzling, sunny skies for any other solo victory. McGill completed 57 seconds again in 2nd position.
Groove Off-Street Racing teammates Caroline Mani and Lauren Zoerner pursued within the chase, with Mani getting separation at the ultimate lap for the overall podium spot, 1:35 in the back of Rochette.
