Vincent Baestaens (Spits CX) secured his 6th occupation win on the Rochester Cyclocross, and back-to-back wins this weekend, soloing to the day 2 victory on Sunday.
Baestaens completed the race 9 seconds forward of Anton Ferdinande (DHM) and 13 seconds forward of Loris Rouiller (Helzomat).
A lead staff emerged at the opening lap that integrated Ferdinande, Baestaens, Lance Haidet (L39ion of Los Angeles), Rouiller, Andrew Strohmeyer (CXD Trek), Curtis White (Steve Tilford Basis), Michael van den Ham (Large-Easton), and Scott Funston (WTB-Pivot).
Ferdinande opened an opening at the staff within the early laps preserving six seconds over Baestaens and Haidet, with an addition few seconds forward of the following chase staff of Rouiller and Strohmeyer initially of the 6th lap.
The gaps between the primary two teams closed with Ferdinande, Baestaens, Rouiller, Strohmeyer and Haidet all in combination at the 7th lap.
Baestaens surged with two laps to move, and nobody within the staff may practice. He raced during the get started of lap 8 with 11 seconds forward of the chase staff after which crossed the road along with his 6th victory on the Rochester Cyclocross.
