  • 34 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • 1 sugar dice
  • 1 teaspoon absinthe
  • 1 ½ oz. (3 tablespoons) Cognac
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) rye whiskey
  • Lemon twist


  1. In a blending glass, upload the sugar dice and coat it with the bitters. Litter the sugar dice with a cocktail muddler or wood spoon till most commonly dissolved. Upload the Cognac, rye whiskey and absinthe and fill the blending glass with a handful of ice.
  2. Stir till chilly. Pressure the drink into a calming low ball glass.
  3. Use a knife to take away a 1″ large strip of the lemon peel. Squeeze the lemon peel into the drink to unlock the oils. Gently run the peel across the fringe of the glass, then position it within the glass and serve.
